Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization has the necessary materials and supplies to operate efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to optimize purchasing strategies.

Duties

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition through purchase order issuance.
• Collaborate with production and sales rep team members to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Utilize SAP ERP systems for tracking inventory levels, placing orders, and managing supplier relationships.
• Conduct regular inventory management and control activities to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data in MRP systems.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding material availability and procurement timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and MRP processes is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in sourcing, production planning, logistics, inventory management, and inventory control.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on findings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
